Raw emotion, visceral, to feed voracious,vociferous appetite while complex to compel continuous learning. Variant unusual song structures.Chords are often written in pairs. I ordered a handful of the sheet music with different publishers of the same album. Hal Leonard, Warner Brothers, Alfred and Rittor. Alfred bought Warner Bothers, they are the same but I can give one to a friend, Alice Brown. HL is 48 pages. I've seen 50pp listings on other websites and Amazon previously without seeing the book but I think the others must have counted 2 blank pp at the end. WB is 68pp. A is 72pp but must have counted the inside and outside of both the front and back covers. R is 94pp. I first look at the simplest 48 version then the actual 68 original 1984 edition and lastly the most complex 94. Between the books some of the chords are defined differently. Only make sure to differentiate from one song and whole album when buying. 48 is written smaller with one more staff on page and without some intros outros and some instrumental solos. 68 goes with the movie and music album, showing the graphics of the lyric titles and has a synopsis of the movie and pictures. It also has little poems parsed throughout and the major poem on the back. Chords involving 6 and 9 have them on top of each other. Music is written spaced apart ,well framed for ease of use ,easiest to read. More intro,outro;solo. 48,68(72) is piano, vocal, guitar.94 adds bass guitar and drums. Complete intro and outro and solo except final piano fade on Purple Rain song. It has all the major linear guitar lead and rhythm, not always both at the same time, same way for the keyboards .Parts that the ear follows for the songs. Explanations at the beginning of each song and one for the album plus four pictures (only) unrelated. Parts for every modern rock band except classical music instruments.
